Making Cards - Blush

The June edition of Making Cards Magazine is now in the shops so I can begin to share some of the cards that I created for the May Edition - this one actually made the front cover.  I was commissioned to create 12 cards for this issue using the free craft papers.

The aim of these cards is to show what can be created using just the free images and papers along with a few basic stash items - all I have added to create this card is some card stock, a button and some twine.

I also used a Spellbinders scalloped circle die and a Fiskars edge punch.

Football Veteren

This is another card created using the Splash Crafts - The Wrinklies Return USB.

Everything on my card is from the USB, there are lots of co-ordinating papers and sentiments along with the decoupage images and toppers.  You can also purchase die cut decoupage sheets from the Splash Crafts shop.

Have a Fab Day

This is another card that I have created using the beautiful Meet Me In Paris Collection from The Paper Boutique - you can find it on the Creative Crafting World Website.  You can find more cards using this collection HERE.

This is the perfect collection for all of the feminine cards that we make with lots of girly images and pink papers. All I have added to create this card is some of Lynda's black card stock along with some ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Autumn Colours

I am sharing another card that was published in the April edition of Making Cards Magazine.

The magazine is themed around making cards for men, teens and boys and I was commissioned to create 10 cards using the free craft papers - I think this one would be great for an older man.

The aim of these cards is to show what can be created using just the free images and papers along with a few basic stash items - all I have added to create this card is some solid card stock, a sentiment and some ribbon from my stash.

Wild Roses

This is the card that I made for my boys to give their Grandmother for her Birthday

I used an image and papers from Joanna Sheen's Shirley Barber Project Book, I printed the topper three times so that I could fussy cut the flowers and add some layers.

I computer generated the sentiment and added some ribbon from my stash.  I copied the backing sheet into Word to create the insert.

Old Rockers Never Die

Did you watch the Splash Crafts shows on Create and Craft this weekend - it was the launch of the new The Wrinklies Return USB - it will soon be available in the Splash Crafts Shop.  You can find more cards using this collection HERE.

This is another of the samples that I created for the shows.

I used two of the fabulous decoupage toppers for this card, that's the great thing about a USB, you can print as many toppers as you wish.  The sentiment and the papers were also printed from the USB.

High Spirits

Only a few more of these cards left to blog now!  This is another of the cards that I had published in the April edition of Making Cards - the magazine was themed around making cards for men, teens and boys and I was commissioned to create 10 cards using the free craft papers.

The aim of these cards is to show what can be created using just the free images and papers along with a few basic stash items - all I have added to create this card is some solid card stock, a sentiment and some card candi from my stash.

I love the colours of these papers, I think this card would be suitable for most men.
